The Parks & Recreation Department provides many opportunities for recreational activities for the family.
All parks are open from 7:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. daily.

The Parks & Recreation Department operates the Ashland Park System for the City Commission. The Park Board and Tree Board advise the City on park operations and consist of interested volunteers appointed by the Mayor with Commission confirmation.

The Parks & Recreation Department performs maintenance for all park activities. The Maintenance Supervisor may be reached by calling 606-385-3295.· The normal hours of operation are 7:00 A.M. until 3:30 P.M. Monday through Friday with a maintenance worker on Saturday and Sunday to handle weekend activities or emergencies. A maintenance worker is on duty each day from 3:00 P.M. until 11:30 P.M. to patrol the parks and to handle any emergencies.

The Parks & Recreation Department handles scheduling for all park activities. The Round House Activity Room and the Log House may be rented for special events and weddings may be scheduled in the park.
