We are pleased to announce that the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting has, once again, been awarded to the City of Ashland Finance Department by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR) for fiscal year ending 2016. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting.  This award demonstrates a constructive spirit of full disclosure to clearly communicate the City of Ashland’s financial story.  

The Finance department has been honored with this prestigious award for multiple fiscal years.  It is through attention to detail and dedication of our craft and good old fashion team work from the department of finance that allows us to receive this coveted recognition.  We have no doubt that our team will continue to receive this level of distinction in the future.  Every day, our goal is to provide our City and our citizens with the most fiscally responsible and transparent reporting system possible.
